My name’s Robert Gwenville, and I’ve been investing in gold and metals for more than 20 years now and have seen it go up and down over that time. I’ve been lucky enough to make money with this investment strategy, but more importantly, I’ve been able to protect my family’s wealth against inflation.

I started this website because I know it can be hard to find the correct information when you’re new at investing in precious metals, so I wanted to create a place where people could get answers from someone who has been doing this for a long time and knows what they’re talking about.

My Story

I grew up in Columbia, Missouri and attended Penn State for undergrad, and got my MBA from Brown University before starting a software business in the early 2000s that eventually sold for a large sum of money in 2015 (more than enough to retire on!).

Since then, I’ve focused on golfing and spending time with my family—including three kids and a wife named Mary—and now grandkids!

Precious Metal Advice’s become one of life’s greatest passions for me personally, utilising this space to connect with avid investors from all walks of life, all driven to listen to my thoughts and opinions… No journey is the wrong journey.
